CADS Wall Panel Designer is one of our most popular and practical design applications.

This software is intended to be used to investigate and design many panel variations, quickly and efficiently by performing BS5628 calculations that are tedious and error prone when done by hand.

Materials Library: a built in library of masonry units types and their relevant structural properties.

Wall Panel with Piers and Opening

Edge Fixities: all panel types, including those supported on 1, 2, 3 or 4 sides, can be designed. Proportional edge fixities between 0 and 100% permit engineers to use their judgement and experience.

Wall Types: single skin or cavity walls and a choice of plain, piered, fin or diaphragm construction is provided. Piered walls may be two way spanning.

Cracked/Uncracked Sections: Designers can achieve optimum performance from diaphragm and piered walls through use of `cracked section´ analysis. This facility is most often used to justify a fixity moment at a bottom edge having a low strength DPC.

Openings: Internal and external openings can be accommodated in wall panels. Supported and unsupported edge openings can be used to specify the width of windows or doors.

DPC Properties: a built in library of damp proof course materials and their structural properties enables the effects of the various materials to be considered in the design.

Bed joint reinforcement: A library of bed joint reinforcement products, including BRC Brickforce, Ancon, Hemax, Murfor, means that engineers can investigate the trade off between panel thickness and the use of bed joint reinforcement.

Excellent Printout: detailed and single page summary calculation results are ideal for preparing submissions for Building Regulations.
