Advance Steel Creates Milano Fair Freeform Roof The "New Milano Fair" was designed from the ground up to be the biggest fairground of the world with an exhibition space of 2 millions m². The Exhibition halls are connected by a freeform roof called VELA (Italian for sails).


John Sutcliffe Assoc - Skycoaster The Skycoaster, a ride at the American Adventure World theme park in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, UK, is a 52m high steel lattice arch framed swinging 'white knuckle' ride supported by two 46 metre high latticed steel launch towers.


Multi Building 1 Project data for a block of apartments. Total numbers of floors is 20. Eighteen above ground level and three floors below ground level. The total height of the building is 64.33 m. The total area is more than 10 000 m², approximately 600 m² per floor.


Winter Stadium A steel, one aisled, hall with an arched roof.


Furniture Store 3 A beautifully designed building for the demanding customers of this new luxury furniture store in Slovakia. Undercover parking is complemented by lifts and inclining ramps, all visible through a glass facade from the outside.


Entrance Hall 1 An entrance hall for the "North Galaxy" complex near the "Brussels- North" railway station. The building has an elliptic roof surface and is surrounded by a glass frontage.


Plant 3

An extension to a stainless steel plant of Carinox with a new building for the production of inox. The steel plant has a production capacity of 10.000 tonnes a year.  The total surface area of the plant is 23.000 m², with a maximum height is 53 m.



Airplane 6

A maintenance workshop for different types of airplanes. In order to be capable of storing large aircrafts, huge column-free dimensions were required with 2 main spans of 95 metres and a depth of 59 metres. A considerable number of cranes are integrated into the roof structure along with other technical equipment.


Amsterdam Arena 1 Dynamic recalculation of roof structure to allow for increasing temporary loads and two planned towers, of about twice the height of the stadium itself, which will influence the wind loads.


Bratislava Office 5 A very effective program for the calculation of internal forces calculation was required for this office block. It had to be able to prepare the structural model and to offer various options to check the results within one application. SMART Modeller EPW fulfilled these requirements.
