Draw your closed Polyline outline.

Select Draw Range New Mark
|

Pick Taper Range Option and then Varying Taper

In the Draw Bar Dialog Box select the shape code and left view

Next pick the sketch bar option, set to the required shape code and view.

pick the dimensions button and type in a dimension, this will force RC to prompt which leg to taper A or C.

Pick OK twice to get back to the Draw Bar Dialog Box.

Now pick first bar and type in the B dimension, repeat this procedure for the Last Bar Button. Dimension B is going to be a fixed length.

Pick OK to exit from the dialog box.

Draw in the sketch bar and the range line.
|

Specify the centres and press enter to accept number of bars.
|

When prompted to Pick Entity, pick the Polyline Outline.

The following will then display at the command line.
|
|
Path range can only taper one dimension at a time. Enter dimension to be tapered (A C )
|

Press enter to accept Dimension A.
|

Then another dialog box appears, press Yes to accept.
|
