Program Overview
CADS RC PadBase Designer is an aid to designing rectangular pad bases which fully satisfy the requirements of BS 8110:1997. The program allows you to start a new job, open an existing one, or import an RC base from CADS Analyse 3D, CADS A3D Max, SMART Modeller and other analysis products. The program illustrates the sectional plan and sectional elevation of the base in the main view as you enter the data. CADS RC PadBase Designer checks the design of reinforced pad bases to BS8110:Part 1:1997 and the design of unreinforced bases to the IStructE/ICE "Manual for the design of reinforced concrete building structures", 1985. Version 2 now includes Autodesign - the automatic design of mass concrete or reinforced bases in accordance with user-defined auto design controls.
Enhancements:
- CADS RC PadBase Designer is made compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista
- The old start up splash image has been replaced with a fresh new image
- CADS SMART Designer Launcher has been replaced with a new CADS System Design Launcher bringing all CADS structural analysis and design products together
- CADS RC PadBase Designer has been upgraded to support the latest Design and Detailing codes viz. BS 8110-1:1997 Amendment 3 and BS 8666:2005 respectively.
