Cold Rolled Products
Advance Steel provides full support for a complete range of cold rolled product data, including purlin profiles, connections, accessories and CAM data. Each leading manufacturer´s products are accessed via their own icon on the cold rolled toolbar.
Cold rolled connections: All Advance Steel cold rolled connection macros are generic and support the complete section range of 14 manufacturers. When members in the model change to another profile shape or to another supplier, the connections update automatically to suit the standard detail of the new profile!
Purlin/rail connections: Single or double purlin/rail connections. Various cleat options - plate, suppliers cleat etc, with optional sleeve, stays, fire wall condition etc Non continuous purlin/rail connection: Where purlin/rail is partially or fully within rafter/column depth. Plate or angle cleat, stay options etc. Purlin hip/valley connections: Single or double purlin connections at hip/valley with various cleat options.
Eaves beam connections: Single or double eaves beam connections. Various cleat options - plate, section, supplier's cleat etc.
Cold rolled Accessories: Accessory macros are available for several suppliers creating anti sag systems for side rails and purlins to include ties/struts, diagonal ties, apex ties, eaves ties, etc.
CAM files/orders: Transferring CAM data electronically is now widely accepted as the fastest and most efficient method of submitting details and orders. Fabricators recognise the benefit of labour and material savings, greater accuracy, shorter lead times and elimination of errors. Advance Steel can create complete manufacturing CAM data from steelwork models, eliminating the need for drawings. Ordering this way also speeds up the delivery time and in some cases a discount is offered by the cold rolled supplier. The CAM process includes rigorous error checking to inform the user of any modelling errors or non-standard details that may incur additional costs.
