Advance Steel is based on the popular AutoCAD platform.  This proven technology is supported by a global resource pool of potential detailers, making recruitment an easier prospect than with other standalone steelwork detailing packages.

Advance Steel outputs to the FabTrol, Steelfab and CIMList fabrication systems.
 
Links to many other industry standard software applications for Design, Detailing and Fabrication are also possible via Import/Export functionality of the following file formats - SDNF, CIS/2 and PSS.

In addition Advance Steel enables easy drawing creation when linked with Autodesk Revit Structure. Just import the 3D model created in Autodesk Revit Structure, add the joints in Advance and create your general arrangement drawings, workshop drawings and NC files!

CADS A3D MAX and Scia Engineer (formerly SMART Modeller) are advanced analysis applications that also link to Advance Steel, and along with SMART Portal 3D create a fully integrated analysis, design, modelling and detailing environment.  In addition to these CADS applications, Advance Steel also supports STAAD design software.
