Connection Design: SMART Portal provides Moment Connection design software that supports the BCSA/SCI Green Book - "Joints in Steel Construction - Moment Connections". Connections at the eaves and apex may be formed with or without haunches with 2, 3 or 4 flanged type made from plates, or cut from sections.

Foundation Design & Fire Collapse check: In addition to designing the column base plate with or without stiffeners SMART Portal also provides an integrated solution for design and detailing of mass concrete or RC pad bases and pilecaps. SMART Portal also performs a boundary check for the fire collapse condition. Pad Base and Pilecap software can also run stand-alone.

SMART Portal jobs can be loaded electronically into CADS SW (2D) and AdvanceSteel (3D) for the automatic production of general arrangement drawings and fabrication details.
