CADS Licence Manager Setup Instructions

This version of the CADS Licence Manager has been updated to assist with the setup of network installations by providing a method to export network licence settings from one system and import them into another.

The system works as follows:

  1. Download the CADS Licence Manager and install on each system that will be using the network licence import/export feature
  2. Setup the first system as normal:
    1. Install applications
    2. Setup the licences in their network locations
    3. Output the network licence setting
    4. Selecting the 'Export Network Settings...' option

    5. Select the location for the licence information file (CADS-CLM.txt)

    6. Select the 'Finish' option in order to write the file to the specified location
  3. On the second and subsequent systems, setup the licence information using the information exported from the first system
    1. Select the 'Licensing Wizard' option

    2. On the 'Select Licence Type' page, select the 'Import floating network settings' option

    3. Select the file (CADS-CLM.txt) that was written from the initial system
      1. You may need to copy this file to the second system (via a USB device, or CD, etc), or copy to an accessible network folder location

    4. Select the 'Finish' option. The network licence settings are then imported and the network licences details setup the same as for the initial system
