After a life of study, teaching and research at IIT, Madras, Professor CS Krishnamoorthy had the misfortune to be involved in a road traffic accident in which he sustained fatal injuries. He was travelling to Lucknow Airport after giving an invited lecture at IIT Kanpur, when the car in which he was travelling collided with another vehicle.
Professor CS Krishnamoorthy taught Finite Element Analysis and computer-oriented subjects and was actively engaged in research in non-linear finite element analysis, structural optimisation and software development for CAD in civil engineering.
For all of us at CADS India, Dr. Krishna was a source of support and wisdom. Right from lighting the lamp in inaugurating the company, he has always supported CADS in all its promotional and development endeavours. The void created by the demise of this great intellect can never be filled. |
