Making the Move to RebarCAD v9 RebarCAD v9 is now in its fourth release following the recent delivery of RebarCAD v9.03. If you have not migrated as yet why not take advantage of our free migration service.
Why RebarCAD v9? RebarCAD v9 offers a complete new bar list interface which allows for much improved navigation of your rebar data. This update comes with new features such as: Drawing sheets that allow you to produce multiple drawings and bars lists from a single DWG file A bar list on drawing that tells you when it is out-of-date and can be refresh with a single click A new revision management systems that automatically generates revision clouds and populates a revision table A streamlined take-off system that includes support for all the industry standard production platforms The bar list can remain open whilst you detail, which is especially beneficial for those with dual monitors Highlight bars within the drawing directly from the bar list, and visa-a-versa All of these features are controlled by a clear and concise set of configuration options And even more features
Migrating to v9 May be More Straightforward than you Think! An improved installation means you can install RebarCAD v9 in parallel with your existing v8 software. So why not trial RebarCAD v9 whilst continuing to work with your current production software! Any existing RebarCAD v8 drawings opened in RebarCAD v9 will be automatically migrated. Should you need to share RebarCAD v9 drawings with v8 users then a useful save back to v8.4 feature is provided. RebarCAD v9 will automatically migrate your DEF files and CADS provides a free report migration service for those users who have custom bar list layouts. CADS Support are always on hand to help with your migration and can arrange a time convenient to you to assist your transition via our Remote Desktop Support service.
AutoCAD Support RebarCAD v9 is fully compatible with all of the most recent releases of AutoCAD, including AutoCAD 2009, and is fully Windows Vista compatible.
Please be aware that in line with Autodesk policy, support for AutoCAD 2006 and therefore related CADS products will be withdrawn from March 2009.
Where Can I Find Further Information? RebarCAD v9 is fully supported by a raft of user documentation. A useful Getting Started Guide will take you through the new features. A Configuration Guide provides all the information you need to set-up your systems, and then to share this with your colleagues.
