Advance Steel Bags Interbuild Award

CADS and Hawk Structures, an Advance Steel customer, were the proud recipients of an award at the Interbuild 2007 exhibition at the NEC.  The award was for 'Best Use of Digital Design Within a Construction Project' and was presented to Gary Dale, Marketing Manager from CADS (pictured left) and John Bennett (pictured second left), Head of Detailing from Hawk Structures.  The project, achieved with the Advance Steel 3D steelwork detailing package, was the unique Royal Naval Submarine Museum in Gosport, which had featured previously in an article in the IStructE's Structural Engineer magazine. The award was judged and presented by Alison Jones - Editor of IT Showcase News, Karl Williams, IT Construction Forum (pictured right) and Peter Cunningham - Executive Director, Constructing Excellence and The IT Construction Forum(pictured second right). Gary Dale, Marketing Manager of CADS commented 'It is always good when customers' projects get recognised by a wider audience as an excellent use of technology.  Even better is the fact that this particular award also recognised the relationship between CADS and Hawk Structures, including training, support and development, that enabled this challenging structure to be realised.'

CADS attended Interbuild with Adris Computing Concepts, who together promoted Advance Steel at a stand within the IT Showcase section of the exhibition.  Shaun Whyman, CADS Product Specialist is pictured here presenting Advance Steel at a short seminar at the exhibition.  In addition to a lot of interest in Advance Steel from stand visitors, Adris also picked up an award with one of their customers, making it a double whammy of awards on the day!
