Clash Detection: Advance Steel models can be fully collision checked (including all members, plates and bolts) with a single mouse click. This means there is no chance of errors accidentally slipping through to site undetected. Even the root radius of hot rolled sections is checked against other parts for collisions.
| Part numbering: Part numbers can be allocated automatically at any time as the modelling proceeds and only changed under the user's direction. Identical parts are detected automatically and the part numbers assigned accordingly. Part numbers can also have prefixes assigned automatically or manually. |

Automatic Drawing Production: Advance Steel can automatically create all the drawings you need for fabrication and construction from an easy to use menu. These include general arrangement drawings, single part details, fabrication drawings and developed templates for contoured tube ends, folded profiles and complex 3D folded plates such as boxes and cones etc.

| Advance Steel 6.1 introduced: a new user interfaces for the Drawing Style Manager and Process Manager, to improve usability. Further enhancements enable users to retain all manual modifications they have made to their drawings after an update, while automatic labelling and dimensioning of drawings have also been improved. Users can now modify the xy-viewport and depth of view as well as rotate a view, all from within a drawing. |

CNC Files: Many fabricators now have machinery that can be programmed automatically from CNC data. Advance Steel is able to create such files in the industry standard DSTV format and can be interfaced to all leading machine suppliers, including Kaltenbach, Peddinghaus and many others.
| Reports & Lists: Advance Steel has a powerful material listing module providing pre-set templates for material lists, plate lists, saw lists, assembly lists, bolt lists etc as well as a flexible "Template Wizard" for customising your own templates for content and format. These reports can then be printed or exported in various file formats such as PDF, XLS and many others. |
